ADS is a creative architectural design studio based in solihull and is led by Lee Farnan. ADS are grateful members of the Passive House Trust and the Association for Environment Conscious Building.

ADS specialises in housing, our projects range from house extensions to major ‘low carbon’ house refurbishments and new build developments in and around the Midlands as well as occasionally further afield. We are typically involved throughout the design stages and offer a flexible fee structure, so we can work collaboratively with our clients to provide initial concept designs only or alongside other professionals to help deliver projects on site.

ADS like practical and unpretentious buildings, that are materially rich and expressive with an interest in celebrating craftsmanship and revealing process; our work is characterised by simple forms, expressed materials and complex programs. We intuitively design in a straightforward and cost effective manner that is in the long term interests of our clients and also contextually and environmentally responsible.

People

Lee Farnan is the founding director of ADS, who was educated at The Birmingham School of Architecture, under Tom Jefferies, and graduated with a First Class Honours Degree in 2010. Lee has worked at various practices in Birmingham and was Artist in Residence at The Birmingham School of Architecture in 2014.
