1. What we do

We’ll prepare drawings and documents for your project as set out in your Appointment Letter.

We’ll carry out our work with care and in line with professional standards.

We’re not responsible for contractors, third parties, or statutory approvals (like planning or building regulations decisions).

2. Your responsibilities

Give us accurate information about your property and decisions when needed.

Pay any fees charged by third parties (e.g. planning fees, surveys, engineers).

Check legal boundaries and property ownership.

3. Fees & payments

Our fees are fixed and shown in your Appointment Letter.

We invoice in stages (survey, planning submission, building regulations, extras if agreed).

Payments are due within 14 days of invoice.

Fees are payable whether or not your application is approved.

4. Design changes

You have 28 days after we send your initial design drawings to request changes within the agreed scope.

Any changes requested after 28 days will be charged separately.

Any changes or resubmissions required after a planning or building regulations submission will also be charged separately.

5. Intellectual property

We own the copyright in all drawings.

Once you’ve paid in full, you have a licence to use them for your project at your property.

They cannot be reused, altered, or passed to others without our agreement.

6. Liability & insurance

We hold Professional Indemnity Insurance for your protection.

Our liability is limited to our proportionate share of responsibility and capped at the level of our fees or insurance cover.

7. Disputes & ending the appointment

Either of us can end the appointment with written notice.

You’ll need to pay for any work done up to that point.

If there’s a dispute, we’ll try to resolve it with you first. If needed, we can use adjudication (a formal process under construction law).

8. General

Drawings are provided in PDF format.

We may photograph your project for our records or marketing, but we’ll keep your details confidential if requested.
